💡 STX Traveler Tips
Arrive 2 hours early for all departures — security can back up quickly with multiple flights.
U.S. citizens do not need a passport — a valid government ID is sufficient for travel to/from the mainland.
Inter-island flights to STT or SJU board quickly — listen for announcements even before your stated boarding time.
Rental cars drive on the left side of the road — give yourself a few minutes to adjust after pickup.
Taxi rates are per person, not per ride — share a cab to save money and it's the local way to travel.
The airport is small — there's no large dining area post-security. Eat before you arrive or grab something in the terminal early.
During peak season (Dec–Apr) and holiday weekends, the terminal gets crowded. Extra lead time is worth it.
St. Croix has two towns — Christiansted (east, near airport) and Frederiksted (west). Know which one you're heading to before getting in a cab.
